Design tools

Two tools that run inside Roastify's Design Studio on your own login — no dev console, works on an iPad. The courier shuttles designs to and from your Design Bench; Push design is a quick direct copy. Both are for your own operator account, separate from the patron Bench.

Design courier

Shuttles a design between Roastify and your Design Bench library: send a product's design up to edit it in the Bench, then bring the edited design back onto a product. It logs into Roastify MCP with your npub (the standard DM proof) and never edits anything itself — all redesign happens in the Bench.

1a · Install on iPad — recommended (Userscripts)

iPad Safari can't drag a bookmarklet. The reliable path is the free, open-source Userscripts Safari extension, which puts a small ☕ Courier button on Roastify.

Install the right one. Several apps share the name. Use Userscripts by Justin Wasack — App Store ID 1463298887, open-source at github.com/quoid/userscripts (GPL-3.0), privacy label No Data Collected. Any userscript manager can read every page you visit, including your signed-in Roastify session, so pick the auditable, telemetry-free one and skip any listing with ads, a different developer, or data collection.

App Store → install Userscripts by Justin Wasack (free) — confirm ID 1463298887 and the No Data Collected label.
Settings → Safari → Extensions → Userscripts → turn it on; allow it on merchant.roastify.app.
In Safari, tap the extensions button in the address bar → Userscripts → open its editor → + new script → paste the script below → save. It's tiny and always loads the latest courier, so you never reinstall it. (You can also open /tools/courier.user.js to copy it.)

Then on merchant.roastify.app, tap the ☕ Courier button (bottom-right) to open the panel.

1b · Install on iPad — alternative (Shortcut)

No extra app, but may not persist on every iOS version — try it. Run it from the Share sheet on the Roastify page.

Open the Shortcuts app → tap + to create a new shortcut.
Add the action Run JavaScript on Web Page (search for it).
Tap into its code box and replace the contents with exactly this:

Open the shortcut's settings (the name/ⓘ) → turn on Show in Share Sheet, and set the accepted input to Safari web pages. Name it Design courier. Save.
To use: in Safari on merchant.roastify.app, tap Share → Design courier. The first time, allow it to run on the page.

1c · Install on a Mac (bookmarklet)

2 · Use it

Open merchant.roastify.app and sign in.
Run Design courier (Share sheet on iPad, or the bookmark on a Mac). Log in with your npub — reply to the Nostr DM, then confirm.
Send this design → library stashes the selected product's design for the Bench.
Edit it in the Design Bench, then come back and Apply library design → this product to write it onto a product.

Applying overwrites the selected product's design. Its thumbnail keeps the old preview until you open it in the Designer, which re-renders it. Use a throwaway product until you trust it.

Push design

The older direct tool: copies one saved design straight onto another product, with in-panel font repair. Superseded by the courier + Bench flow above, but kept for a quick one-off copy.

1 · Install the button (once)

On a Mac: drag this to your bookmarks bar.

On iPad: bookmarklets can't be dragged. Easiest path — install it on a Mac signed into the same iCloud, and it syncs to your iPad's bookmarks. Or add any page to Favorites, then edit that bookmark and replace its address with the code below.

2 · Use it

Open merchant.roastify.app and sign in.
Tap the Push design bookmark. A small panel appears, top-right.
Pick the design to copy from, and the product to put it onto.
Tap Copy design →. The panel reports each step and confirms from the server.

The product it copies onto is overwritten. The source is only read. The target's thumbnail updates to the source's; open the target in the designer to see it render. Use a throwaway product until you trust it.

The tool loads fresh from this site each time you tap it, so it always runs the current version — nothing to reinstall when it changes.
